When: 26th November

Where: Royal festival Hall

Info:

Join Polari to celebrate the beloved LGBTQ+ literary salon’s 11th birthday, at an evening led by singer-songwriter David McAlmont.

McAlmont reads an excerpt from his new queer history performance project girl.boy.child, an immersive, seance-like historical odyssey, inspired by three LGBT lives lived in National Trust properties.

The performance project is inspired by the lives of Christopher St John of Smallhythe Place, Rye, East Sussex, William John Bankes of Kingston Lacy in Dorset, and Henry Cyril Paget of Plas Newydd, Anglesey. It premiered at the National Trust’s Prejudice, Pride, Placeconference, marking 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England.
