Info; This special instalment from the Southbank Centre’s classical season takes a look at one of the most traditional of Mahler’s symphonies, drawing listeners into its bleak yet irresistible momentum. In a special evening hosted by the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo, they will perform Takemitsu’s haunting Requiem for strings alongside Mahler’s passionately melancholic Sixth Symphony.
