The Barbican has always been one of my favourite artistic instructions, their latest photography double bill is an exquisite combination of graphic image and inspiring context. Across both floors there is a plethora of fascinating images that give you a real awareness of the politics of the past and how photography has been used as a social tool throughout history. While many images are unsettling, I think it is admirable to face these types of photos head on and really understand what life has been like and continues to be like for minorities and those living in poverty today. This show is only open until the 2nd September, so if you have not already I would highly recommend a visit.
