The International Piano Series presents the most prestigious pianists on the concert platform, showcasing the talents of the grand masters alongside the best of a current generation of rising stars. In 2019/20 we welcome global superstar Daniil Trifonov; Stephen Hough performs a thoughtful mix of Chopin, Busoni and Liszt; Paul Lewis concludes his multi-year exploration of the piano works of Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms; and Pierre-Laurent Aimard pairs Beethoven’s mighty Hammerklavier Sonata with Charles Ives – plus more recitals from returning artists and new faces.
