Info; The Royal Institution are kicking off the New Year with a fantastic series of lectures, of which their first instalment is all about the L’s… Starting with letters, which can reveal far more than is intended. In this fascinating new talk, Sharon Ruston will discuss a previously unpublished collection of letters written to the Rev John Hodgson, who had an important role in the invention of the safety lamp, shedding a new light on the mystery surrounding the truth of who really created it.
