Claudia Myles – Trained Opera Singer

Info: Claudia Myles, born in London, is a graduate scholar from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and now has gained a place on their MMus Opera Programme. She started out training in Pop, Jazz and Musical Theatre singing, studying at Italia ContiLaine Theatre Arts and Guildford School of Acting – here she was also a highly acclaimed dancer and actress, studying ballet for 15 years and gaining her ‘LAMDA Gold Medal’ in acting. She was then taken under the instruction of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and recorded an album and a year later was successful in the hit TV show, Pop Idol Series 2 in 2003. Having now grown into an Opera Singer, she has sung in many venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and the Barbican, and in concerts and festivals around London and Surrey, raising money, primarily for ‘The Children’s Trust’ and ‘The Stroke Assocation’. She has just finished a season with the British Youth Opera doing ‘La Boheme’ at Sadlers Wells- The Peacock Theatre, London and had the privilege to tour with the GSMD Opera Company, performing around Italy and the Barbican.  In addition, she has just been chosen to sing her debut at Wigmore Hall in May 2011.

Availability: Claudia is available on weekday evenings and weekends to perform Opera, Musical Theatre, Jazz or Pop music at events, concerts, weddings and parties and can provide any form of accompaniment, such as a pianist, string quartet or big band.
